Exceptional Cases
MIT
They are need-blind, so basically you can submit CSS profile after receiving your admission decision.
Bennington College
Nicely email the admission office if paying for CSS profile would be a financial burden for you.
Swarthmore College
All students applying for financial aid at Swarthmore must submit the CSS Profile, including international (non-US citizen, F-1 visa) students. It is to your advantage to submit the CSS Profile by the deadline for your application cycle. If you feel the cost of the CSS Profile is prohibitive, you may complete the CSS Profile and save your application work without submitting it (submitting it would require you pay the submission fee). If you are contacted by the Financial Aid Office to complete the CSS Profile, you will then be ready to submit it at the committee's request. A limited number of CSS Profile fee waivers will be available from the Financial Aid Office, and you are welcome to request a fee waiver for the CSS Profile at that point.
